Dr. Jigar Patel, MD, FACC, FSCAI, RPVI is a distinguished cardiologist known for his expertise and commitment to providing exceptional cardiovascular care. With a comprehensive educational background and extensive experience in the field, Dr. Patel is dedicated to improving the heart health of his patients.

Dr. Patel’s journey in medicine began with his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Cell Science, earned with honors at the University of Florida, Gainesville. He continued his education at St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine degree. Dr. Patel completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, followed by fellowships in Cardiovascular Diseases at the same institution and in Interventional Cardiology at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

Committed to maintaining the highest standards of practice, Dr. Patel is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology, National Board of Echocardiography, and ABIM in Cardiovascular Disease.

Throughout his career, Dr. Patel has been recognized for his academic achievements and contributions to research. He has received various honors and awards, including being on the Dean’s List throughout his undergraduate studies and receiving a scholarship for academic achievement during medical school. Additionally, he was awarded a research grant by the Department of Medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.

Dr. Patel’s clinical experience spans various prestigious institutions, including Norman Regional Hospital in Oklahoma, where he served as a hospitalist, and Urban Cardiology, LLC in Ocala, Florida, where he practiced as a physician. He has also provided cardiology services at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro and Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Currently, Dr. Patel serves as a dedicated physician at the Cardiovascular Institute of Central Florida, where he continues to make significant contributions to patient care and cardiovascular medicine.
