Hima Mikkilineni, MD, FACC

Dr. Hima Mikkilineni is a dedicated and accomplished physician with a passion for cardiology and a commitment to advancing patient care through research, education, and community service.

Dr. Mikkilineni earned her medical degree from Siddhartha Medical College in Vijayawada, India, in 1999. She then pursued further training in internal medicine at the University of Toledo in Ohio, completing her internship in 2006. Following this, she undertook a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the same institution, furthering her expertise in cardiology.

Currently, Dr. Mikkilineni serves as a valued member of the Cardiovascular Institute of Central Florida in Ocala, Florida, where she has been providing exceptional patient care since October 2009. Her clinical expertise, coupled with her compassionate approach to patient care, has earned her the respect and admiration of both her patients and colleagues alike.

Dr. Mikkilineni holds certifications from the American Board of Internal Medicine in both cardiovascular disease and internal medicine, reflecting her dedication to maintaining the highest standards of medical practice. She is also a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), a testament to her commitment to excellence in the field of cardiology.

Throughout her career, Dr. Mikkilineni has been actively involved in medical education and research. She has served as a clinical instructor at the University of Toledo, where she imparted her knowledge and expertise to the next generation of healthcare professionals. Additionally, she has contributed to several research projects, focusing on topics such as pulmonary medicine and vascular health.

In recognition of her contributions to the medical field, Dr. Mikkilineni has received numerous awards and commendations. Notably, she was awarded second place for her poster presentations at both the ACP-ASIM Regional Scientific Meeting and the ACC Ohio Regional Meeting.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Dr. Mikkilineni is deeply committed to serving her community. She has volunteered her time and expertise to various community service organizations, including the Spinal Cord Injury voluntary program at the University of Michigan and health drives aimed at achieving universal immunization against polio and hepatitis B.
