Professional BackgroundMegan Howard, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in cardiology at CVI. She earned her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA.
Megan brings a strong foundation in acute and chronic cardiac care, having trained extensively in both inpatient and outpatient cardiology settings. Her clinical experience includes the diagnosis and management of conditions such as atrial fibrillation, heart failure, coronary artery disease, and hypertension. She is skilled in ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing, including EKGs, echocardiograms, and cardiac event monitors, and has observed advanced cardiac procedures like catheterizations and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI).
In addition to her cardiology training, Megan’s background spans emergency medicine, primary care, orthopedics, surgery, gastroenterology, behavioral health, and women’s health.
